In 1989 I did a fall semester at VA Tech, and I went to ODU in Norfolk in the 90s. One time off campus ODU I heard bullets buzz over my head. There were multiple guns going off the next street over. I sprinted. They toted guns near ODU, no doubt. Somebody somewhere in the neighborhood had full auto, you'd hear it at night, you could tell it wasn't like normal single shots.
